North Carolina Outward Bound School

All proceeds from the races go to scholarships that support local youth teachers and veterans attending North Carolina Outward Bound School's wilderness and urban courses.

North Carolina Outward Bound is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) educational organization established in 1967 and is chartered by Outward Bound National - an organization that includes a wide network of wilderness programs, urban centers and Outward Bound Schools that use experiential learning.
